After a successful season opener at Peterborough Speedway, the stars of the Ontario Legends Series were ready to get another event under their belt at Sunset Speedway on Sunday. However, precipitation would see the event cut short.
The drivers were able to get some track time ahead of the Canadian Legends Nationals in August, with the first round of heats being run.
Adam Cuthbertson won the opening heat ahead of Joe Adams, Kenny McNicol, Nick Ledson, Cory Richardson, Shawn Pollock, Ron Gibbons, Cody Newell, and Paul Perik.
Parker Traves took the checkered flag in the second heat just ahead of Cole McFadden by 0.088 seconds. Wesley Cuthbertson finished third, followed by Shawn Murray, Jason Legge, Rob MacDonnell, Jeff Forsey Andrew Massey and Rob Black,
Robin Jongen won the final heat ahead of Connor James, Kevin Foisy, Andre Fiorini, Dawson Drimmie, Glenn Morris, and Howard Bentley.
The Ontario Legends Series has confirmed that they will be making up the lost feature in their next appearance at Sunset Speedway with double features.
